Beach club
Roda Golf has its own private beach club which is available for owners and residents to use. It is totally free you can either take the transport service offered for a cost of €10 per person or make your own way there by car. Great for those days when you can’t decide whether to go to the beach or the pool! Why not go to both.
The Beach Club has a restaurant and bar service, which also serves the pool & beach area, a supervised swimming pool with Jacuzzi, solarium area and changing rooms with lockers.
In order to get to the new zone of leisure Roda Golf & Beach Resort has available a transport service by ferry and minibus. With departure point at the pier of the “Escuela de Piragüismo” of Santiago de la Ribera, it arrives at Puerto Tomás Maestre, in La Manga del Mar Menor. Once there, a minibus will cover the short trip to the Beach Club.
Beaches
Mar Menor, a salt-water lagoon separated from the open sea by a 22 kilometre long strip of land called La Manga. The area enjoys an average of 310 days sunshine per annum. The warm and shallow water of the Mar Menor provides a paradise for sun worshippers and water sports enthusiasts (mainly windsurfing). The mineral rich waters of the Mar Menor are renowned for their health-giving properties.
When it comes to beaches the Mar Menor has a lot to offer. Virtually all of the beaches here are blue flag rated and sandy. The waters here are 5 degrees warmer than in the Mediterranean Sea, and also much shallower and saltier, making an ideal bathing environment for children .Great care and attention is paid to litter collection, and lifeguards/police patrols operate in popular spots.
The apartment is situated about 1.5 km from the Mar Menor beaches. It is about 30 min walk or a 5 minute drive.
If you prefer the Mediterranean Sea there is an abundance of beaches to visit all just a short drive away. One of the best is Calblanque an area of exceptional beauty and tranquility with fine golden, sandy beaches and clear, sparkling waters. It stretches along 13 km of the coast and consists of beaches, peaceful coves, ancient sand dunes, stunning rock formations, beautiful walking trails and pine forests.
